Per realizzare questa copertina ho usato le scritte e le guidelines del numero precedente, in modo da tenere sempre sott'occhio gli spazi del giornale.
Quando si realizza una copertina, o una pagina illustrata di un libro, desidero sempre sapere gli spazi da occupare, altrimenti particolari del mio disegno potrebbero essere nascosti, o informazioni importanti del giornale, libro, rivista etc, potrebbero essere confuse.

È in arrivo il numero invernale della rivista “Bambino" sarai tu! che potrete trovare in vendita nelle librerie Feltrinelli in alcune strutture del Costa Edutainment e in alcuni parchi naturali, Lipu e parchi divertimento.

La copertina l'ho realizzata io e qui metto il work in progress del lavoro svolto, una parte almeno, dato che la parte di ricerca e elaborazione mentale, diciamolo è difficile da concretizzare.

Quando ho un progetto in mano da sviluppare, la prima cosa che faccio è...prendermi un caffe, d'estate anche un gelato aiuta! Mentre cammino in giro, e questo procedimento a volte prende il sopravvento anche prima di addormentarmi, faccio scorrere immagini e bozzetti nella mia testa, uno scorrimento veloce o quasi del mio archivio celebrale.

Poi prendo matita e carta, o tavoletta e pc e comincio a bozzettare.

i bambini si trovano all'interno del giornalino, ma a pagina 106/107 Gioca con Brio si trova la bambina da colorare :D

Per la terza di copertina, ho realizzato un piccolo gioco di differenze, non si nota tanto, ma l'effetto a me personalmente è piaciuto molto. Volevo dare vita a questi bambini e vederli muoversi dietro al vetro mi ha dato l'illusione che cercavo. Quindi ho ripreso la mia matita e sul disegno precedente ho ridisegnato i bambini in posizioni diverse. Scanner e colore hanno fatto il resto.

É un lavoro difficile, ma qualcuno le deve pure fare, e se ci sono bambini che amano scrivere illustrare cantare, è bellissimo.

I’m already on the ipad and I didn’t knew it!

It’s evening, and my brother got back home, well not before calling me. Yes he was going home with his new iPad on his back!
I arghed al lot but well ok I can manage, I know I’m going to have one, and I think my first book is not ready yet, so who am I that cannot wait. But when he really got home, attached the ipad at iTunes, he just called me again! He saw my first book on it!!! Santa and the Chimney, it was well yes, for Christmas time, so I completely forgot...I was thinking at the summer, sun, beach and well my new book that talk about a boy and Yes summer beach and new friends. Let’s go back to Santa! My brother got it for the iPhone, Is my brother, he had to do it, so when iTunes saw the iPad, said Hei u cannot go without it !

I’m so Happy I did not know it worked!!!! So I’m thinking...Are Dinoshake and Mooshake also working? I made those 3 for an Australian company called Mogeneration, and I’ve loved doing them ’cause I love gagdet, yes, but also because I think books can go everywhere and my job is illustrate so where it brings me I draw. This are from Dinoshake, I have 10 dinos going into sports. The game is for young children. The dino is divided in 3 pieces and the kid has to match the 3 right dino pieces, when it happens there goes the cheering crowd!

My method is really simple, I think we nearly all start the same. With a big Huge Hot coffe, a pencil and some paper. This is one step I need to come out with the main character. Then it dipends on the style where I go from this, but in this case I go rebuild with my computer and my old nice and gentle A5 wacom tablet. PS. If someone know where to buy the point of the pen, and much more how to change it...well please write me 2 lines. This is not the pencil sketch, but here I was at the next step I knew all details of it, now I had to choose what to let him do. This never came into the game..but I still love him so I thought why not and attach it here. Next this I have other 2 I love a lot and well yes this are in the game. Like there is also a coloring book of all the dinos that it can be downloaded from the main site ShakeAndPlay!!!!

Now Let’s see, I have also Mooshake, yes it was the first, didn’t thought of whatwould come out of it, I'm still jumping as it can be seen here in my sketch.

MooShake had only one moving animal, and they where not Dinos but normal animals, like a cat, a frog, o maybe a
karate zebra. But the Animated one and my loved one is the cow! Yes! She is playing Hula Hoop and she likes it.

Meanwhile I did worked on printed books and well is not to talk about it now, Oh well ok I had coming out I think a month ago Do Pirate go to School. It is in my other style and I love it...Now I-m working on a Parrot. A great an d really colorful parrot.
But Let”s go back to animated books. I had one failed project, I will not stay here telling why it went wrong but I have to tell it, I didn't get it too well. I loved those Gorilas, like the one attached here.

Now is may, another book is in progress. Is called To The Rescue and is produced by iBookKids for the iPad. I’ve illustrated and written the story, and made the small animation in it. Is a new interactive and animated book, kid can hear it and play with it, and is also available in a lot of languages.

I love Pizza and in this days you can find Pizza nearly anywhere in the world!!!
Well sometimes is really not made to be eaten but sometimes is there a hope.
I love thick and thin, but my preferred flawor is Margherita or Napoli or mmm Diavola!!!

I was in London a few days ago and well there was this place that the Pizza was nicely done, not so completely trough the rules but not bad really!

Yeah! I got 2 Kilos! Better than last year where I got 5! Wow That was scary!!!
Now I have to survive the 6th and well the winter!
Winter is so sweet with all that chocolate, cakes, candies, nuts and really hot winter food to eat..like lasagna or wait mmm Melanzane alla Parmigiana! Uh I'm getting hungry!!!

Ma qualcosa su questo camino lo ferma e se non fosse per un piccolo grande aiuto, ogni regalo sarebbe saltato.

He stops, parks his reindeer, get the sack from his wonderful sparkling red sleigh and goes to the chimney.
Usually he got out the chimney, admire the all decorated tree and leave the gift nicely wrapped under it.
Just a minute or two, where he indulges on cookies and milk, then way out in the chimney, grads his stuff and moves away
to the next roof where another kid lives. But this time something stops his delivery and if was not for a huge help he received,

Op Kerstavond vliegt het Kerstmannetje met z’n slee en z’n rendieren over de daken. Hij stopt op ieder dak waar een kind woont wat erg lief en braaf is geweest gedurende het jaar. Parkeert z’n prachtige rode slee en de rennen op het dak. Pakt de zak vol kado-tjes van de slee en loopt naar de schoorsteen. Vervolgens duikt hij de schoorsteen in met z’n zak vol verrassingen. Kruipt uit de schoorsteen en kijkt vol bewondering naar de prachtige Kerstboom, vol gekleurde glinsterende Kerstballen en zet zijn kado-tjes naast de Kerstboom bij de open haard.
Eventjes blijft hij nog staan…. Om de koekjes op te eten en het glas melk op te drinken, wat die lieve kinderen voor hem hebben neergezet die avond, voordat ze naar bed zijn gegaan. Maar…….deze keer loopt er iets fout en als niemand het Kerstmannetje te hulp was gesprongen, zouden de andere kinderen, zeker geen kado-tjes gehad hebben. Oh, oh, oh…..

Santa and the Chimney is my new experiment, I want to go on trying a digital approach, but with the suppert of paper. This is a little story of Santa, like always saved by a woman :D

Is available in 2 languages, there is audio, there are Greating cards available, and there will be more then soon the book in paper, the e-book available on the iphone, and a coloring book with additional stuff, like how to build your small Santa.

What devices does MooShake! work on?

This works on all iPhones and iPod Touches

How do I play?

Simple mode – suitable for all ages
Just start the game by pressing the MooShake! icon. You can then either move the animals heads, torsos or feet left or right by sliding the parts with your finger. When you match the animal there is a small reward or sometimes a little dance!

Score mode – suitable for ages 5 and up
If you tap the words at the bottom of the screen “Tap here to play against the clock!” you can play a timed game. A completed animal will be shown, then it will be mixed up, you have to complete the animal before the time runs out! When you complete the animal a new round begins with a new animal but with less time. When the time runs out you will get a score. Try and beat your high score!

Does you need to be able to read to play the game?

Absolutely not, kids as young as 4 understand the game with little to no instruction.

What animals are in the game?

Lion

Dog
Cat
Zebra
Elephant
Dinosaur
Owl
and a human – a Granny!

How do I hear the animals?

Make sure that silent mode is off by moving the switch on the left side of the iPhone or iPod. Then make sure the volume is sufficient my adjusting the volume rocker switch also on the left side of the iPhone or iPod

Where are the sounds from?

The sounds are from a great site called freesound – more at http://www.freesound.org
