Ritratto di un Isola !

Obiettivo: ridare vita alla Torre Canai rendendola finalmente fruibile nella sua interezza attraverso il recupero e la messa in sicurezza del prestigioso giardino botanico, lo spazio verde ai piedi della struttura che vanta un importante varietà di specie botaniche. Il Circolo Fotografico F/7.1 promuove la prima di una serie di iniziative benefiche con lo scopo di raccogliere i fondi necessari all'avvio dei lavori di ripristino e riqualificazione di uno dei siti più importanti dell'isola, sia dal punto di vista storico che naturalistico.

In che modo? Con la vendita delle fotografie che compongono la mostra “Ritratto di un’isola”, l’esposizione che resterà in allestimento nella Sala Mostre del Palazzo del Capitolo di piazza De Gasperi dal primo all’11 agosto 2015 (orari di apertura: tutti i giorni dalle 10 alle 12:30 e dalle 19 alle 23). Una serie di scatti che racconta l’isola di Sardegna attraverso lo sguardo dei fotografi che, animati esclusivamente dall’amore per la propria terra, hanno offerto le loro opere per un intento tanto nobile quanto determinante per il rilancio turistico di Sant’Antioco.

La Torre Canai (http://www.comune.santantioco.ca.it/cms/torre-canai.html), edificata nel 1757 e attualmente gestita in concessione dall’associazione Italia Nostra, sorge sul capo “su moru”, promontorio meridionale dell’isola di Sant’Antioco oggi chiamato “Turri”.
Nello specifico, il Circolo Fotografico antiochense favorisce l’acquisto e la posa della staccionata che delimita l’orto botanico (circa 130 metri lineari), usurata dal tempo e in gran parte mancante, al fine di garantire la visita del sito in tutta sicurezza, nonché la cura e la valorizzazione delle numerose tipologie botaniche dell’area verde.

Per queste ragioni partecipare non significa semplicemente portare a casa uno scatto. Il fine è ben più nobile e va al di là del gesto simbolico dell’acquisto di una fotografia: equivale a mettere la propria “firma” su un’iniziativa meritevole la cui unica meta è restituire la Torre alla collettività.
